About Nicholas Hirst
Nicholas is a freelance journalist based in Brussels. He has covered EU policy issues for various publications including Open Democracy, Planet Magazine and MLex. Previously an associate editor with Europe Today, he currently contributes to the Practical Law Company's EU coverage.
Nicholas graduated in languages from Oxford University and obtained a Master of Laws from the College of Europe, after which he spent a year working for a leading Brussels law firm.
