More than €300 billion, legislation needed to deliver on tech investment, stresses Julia Reda – Greens Group’s Vice-Chair

Jennifer Baker is joined by German MEP Julia Reda, Vice-Chair of the Greens Group in the European Parliament and member of the Pirate Party, to discuss Jean-Claude Juncker’s €315 billion investment plan and how it could deliver on investments in digital infrastructure.

Reda underlines that structural problems which keep us away from fast internet cannot be solved just by “throwing money at them”. A more structural approach is needed to unlock investments in digital infrastructure and technology. She points out that companies have to trust the legal framework if they are to invest in Europe’s tech sector.
