Agreement on research spending is vital, says Irish Presidency
“In our Presidency we would like to get an agreement with the European Parliament on how this money [on research] is going to be spent.”
Intellectual property and copyright have been huge issues in 2012 and the debate between those that would like to see copyright reform and those that seek stricter copyright enforcement online, is becoming ever more intense. Leading ICT journalist, Jennifer Baker, is joined by Rapporteur on the Digital Freedom Strategy in EU Foreign Policy, Marietje Schaake MEP (ALDE), to discuss intellectual property and copyright enforcement legislation in the EU.
