Jennifer Baker is joined by Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, spokeswoman of the European Commission, to discuss the 6th round of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations

The European Commission is hosting the 6th round of the EU-US trade talks in Brussels from Monday July 14 to Friday July 18. The negotiators will continue their discussions on trade in goods and services, regulatory issues, government procurement, environmental protection and labour rights, energy and raw materials, and opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Ahrenkilde Hansen underlines that the TTIP negotiations are becoming more open to the public with initiatives such as the public consultation on investor-to-state dispute settlement mechanism (ISDS). As soon as the results of this consultation are available, negotiators will continue discussions on ISDS.
