EU-South Korea Summit: concerns about the implementation of trade agreement

Cornelia Primosch is joined by Olivier Bailly, spokesperson of the European Commission, to discuss the EU-South Korea Summit on Friday November 8.

Although a bilateral free trade agreement between South Korea and the European Union is in place since 2011 Commissioner Karel De Gucht recently expressed his concerns about the implementation of the agreement. The two key issues that will be discussed at the summit this week are the financial services and non-tariff barriers in the automotive sector as the refusal to accept European certification of imported car parts.
