Lénaïc Vaudin d’Imécourt is joined by Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, spokeswoman of the European Commission to discuss the EU-China Summit on November 20th-21st.
Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and Trade Commissioner Karel de Gucht will meet their Chinese counterparts for the annual EU-China Summit. Despite being organised as a summit that focuses on sustainable urbanisation and development, the main aim of the European Commission will be to make sure that European investments in China are safe. China is the EU’s second biggest trade partner and relations with China have a big potential for growth and jobs, argues Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, spokeswoman of the European Commission.
This years’ summit marks the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between China and the European Union.
