Commissioner Karel de Gucht, on the Future of EU-China Trade Relations

Leading foreign affairs journalist, Lénaïc Vaudin d’Imécourt, met with European Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht, to discuss future of EU-China Trade Relations. China is the EU’s second largest trading partner, but 2012 has been dominated by trade frictions.

“I’m not interested in a trade war with China either. But if there is a complaint, if such a complaint is lodged. That it is a serious one, we investigate it. If we have to impose duties, we will do so.”
