UK referendum outcome: how is the EU going to adapt? Discussion with Janis Emmanouilidis

On Thursday 23rd of June 2016, UK citizens cast their vote in favour of Brexit. What is left now are a lot of questions; but maybe this was the momentum that the European Union needed. Janis A. Emmanouilidis, Director of Studies at the Brussels-based think tank European Policy Centre, discusses the aftermath of 21st-Century-Europe’s landmark and its impact on current and future negotiations.

Janis A. Emmanouilidis has been working as the EPC’s Senior Policy Analyst since 1999 and was recently promoted to Director of Studies. His publications cover the EU’s overall political and institutional development, the sovereign debt crisis, EU integration, EU foreign policy as well as EU enlargement. Emmanouilidis also acts as an advisor to various governments, EU institutions, European parties and NGOs.
