Pope Francis’ visit to Parliament sends “a strong pro-European signal” according to EPP Group

On Tuesday 25 November, Pope Francis will address MEPs in Strasbourg and “will remind us about the Christian roots of our continent”, explains Timonen. This visit comes 26 years after Pope Francis’ predecessor John Paul II visited the European Institutions.
