EU Tweets of the Week: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly – 4 December 2015
Jennifer Baker presents EU Tweets of the Week, looking at the good, the bad and the ugly in the European Union Twittersphere this week:
- The most debated: The Circular Economy package was adopted by the European Commission. Praised by some and criticised by others, the long-awaited proposal clearly was not everyone’s liking.
- The good: “Imagine all the leaders/fighting climate change/it’s easy if you try” … Let us just hope that results of COP21 will be up to our expectations!
- The bad: Some media started rumours of Greece facing a Schengen suspension if it did not improve control of its borders and reception of migrants policies. Greek government denied it the same day.
- The ugly: You can’t have missed it! Time to crack out the popcorn for the Twitter battle of the year: Jon Worth vs Politico Europe.
