EU Tweets of the Week: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly – 29 January 2016

Jennifer Baker presents EU Tweets of the Week, looking at the good, the bad and the ugly in the European Union Twittersphere this week:

  • The Good: The EU has proposed new rules to test car emissions. Fines for transgressors could amount to €30,000 per vehicle. Future emissions-cheaters, you have been warned!
  • The Bad: The lack of a united EU migration policy is making the EU stumbling. Could these discrepancies mean the beginning of the end for Schengen? Let’s hope not.
  • The Ugly: You do not mess with Belgian people and Donald Trump learnt it the hard way, after referring to Europe’s capital as ‘a hellhole‘.
