Jennifer Baker presents EU Tweets of the Week, looking at the good, the bad and the ugly in the European Union Twittersphere this week:
- Most debated: Pope Francis addressed the European Parliament and surprised many with his sharp reflection on the current state of affairs in Europe
- The good: Jean-Claude Juncker presented his €300 billion investment package to kick-start Europe’s economy. However, the plan was met with scepticism.
- The bad: 3 out of 4 US Congressmen who tried to stop the European Parliament’s resolution on breaking up Google turned out to be funded by the search giant
- The ugly: Russian money for Eurosceptics - French National Front admitted to borrowing €9 million from a Russian bank
