EU Tweets of the Week : the Good, the Bad and the Ugly – 22 January

Jennifer Baker presents EU Tweets of the Week, looking at the good, the bad and the ugly in the European Union Twittersphere this week:

  • Most debated: Beata Szydło, Poland’s Prime Minister, rejected allegations that her government’s new policies are eroding the Rule of Law.
  • The good: Parliament’s recommendations to boost the Digital Single Market, put an end to geo-blocking and foster e-commerce and innovation were approved.
  • The badBulgarian police are accused of sending asylum-seekers and migrants back to Turkey… after stealing their belongings and molesting them!
  • The ugly:  It’s handbags at dawn for Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker!
