“New Railway Package establishes better railway connections across Europe”, states ECR spokes

Jennifer Baker is joined by James Holtum, spokesperson for the ECR Group, to discuss the Fourth Railway Package

“The main aim of this Railway Package is to open up the European railway market to competition and encourage better interoperability between the national railway networks”, explains James Holtum.  According to the spokesperson for the ECR Group, consumers would highly benefit from this package: “bigger competition would result in more train destinations, lower prices and better high speed services”. The plenary vote on the Fourth Railway Package will take place on Wednesday 26 February.
