After 18 years of negotiations Russia joined the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in August 2012. Since then, it has been criticised by the EU for not complying with it’s international commitments, ranging from a ban on live pigs to a new law introducing fees for recycling cars. Russia, on the other hand, has it’s own complaints vis-a-vis the EU, in particular with regards to the EU Third Energy Package. Leading foreign affairs journalist, Lénaïc Vaudin d’Imécourt, is joined by Vladimir Chizhov, Russian Ambassador to the EU, to discuss EU-Russia trade relations.
