EU optimistic on energy security and Ukraine

Sonja van Renssen, is joined by Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission, to discuss the energy security and energy supply in Europe.

Commissioner Šefčovič is optimistic about the new energy efficiency package and the future of energy supply in Europe. He underlines that Europe is prepared when it comes to energy trade, security and supply.

Commissioner Šefčovič also talks about the situation in Ukraine and what are the next steps that the EU should be taking. He mentions reforms and financial support for Ukraine in order to secure their energy supply for the next winter.
